This tour begins in Oaxaca City, where the first days will be dedicated to birding the Central Valleys in search of regional endemic species such as the Oaxaca Sparrow, Ocellated Thrasher, and Dusky Hummingbird, among many others.
We will also explore the montane forests around San José del Pacífico before descending to Huatulco on the Pacific slope, where the itinerary includes an exciting pelagic boat tour to observe seabirds and marine wildlife.
From there, the journey continues south along the Pacific coast toward Chiapas, with additional birding opportunities in a variety of habitats before concluding in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. The tour also includes birding in the highland region around San Cristóbal de las Casas.
